He is considered one of the greatest poets of the Urdu language and is often referred to as the "King of Ghazal".
Mir was born in Agra, India, into a family of scholars and poets.
He received a good education in Persian and Arabic languages and began writing poetry at a young age.
He lived through the turbulent times of the decline of the Mughal Empire and witnessed the rise of the British East India Company.
His poetry reflects the social and political upheaval of his time and is known for its depth of emotion, beauty of language, and philosophical insights.
