Rajnath Singh visited Jammu & Kashmir after launching Operation Sindoor, the largest anti-terror operation in India’s history.
He questioned the safety of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, calling for their supervision by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), citing Pakistan’s “irresponsible” behaviour.
He declared that attacks on Indian soil are now treated as acts of war, crediting PM Modi for redefining national security policy.
Operation Sindoor was described as both retributive and proactive.
India targets terrorists based on their actions (‘karma’), not religion (‘dharma’), sending a strong message to terror groups and their cross-border handlers.
India’s forces have demonstrated precise targeting.
He highlighted indigenous defence advancements, including missiles, drones, and communication systems, improving preparedness at borders.
On talks with Pakistan, Singh reiterated that dialogue is only possible on terrorism and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, not under ongoing terror threats.
He accused Pakistan of breaking past promises to stop supporting terrorism and demanded dismantling of terror infrastructure.
Singh praised the people of J&K for their resilience and saluted their courage against terrorism.
