India's young star Divya Deshmukh won the Women's Chess World Cup in Batumi, Georgia.
In the final, Divya defeated India's senior player, Koneru Humpy.
With this victory, Divya became India's 88th Grandmaster (GM).
Divya is the fourth Indian woman to achieve Grandmaster status, after Koneru Humpy, D. Harika, and R. Vaishali.
Divya also became the second Indian, after legendary player Viswanathan Anand, to win the Chess World Cup.
By reaching the World Cup final, Divya and Humpy qualified for the Candidates Tournament, a qualification event for the World Championship.
