The National Testing Agency (NTA) has formed a high-powered committee led by a former UPSC Chairperson to look into grievances around the NEET 2024 results.
Question paper leak in Bihar.
Grant of grace marks, perceived illogical high scores, unexpected number of full marks (720/720).
Eight high-scorers from one centre in Haryana.
The grievances pertain to only 1,600 students out of 23 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam.
A Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) was formed earlier to address concerns about lost exam time at some centres due to reasons like wrong question paper distribution or torn OMR sheets.
The GRC considered factual reports and CCTV footage to determine the loss of time and compensated affected candidates with marks based on a pre-defined formula.
Grace marks were awarded based on the number of questions attempted within a specific time frame. The maximum score after grace marks was 720, and the minimum was -20.
