Donald Trump’s Proposal
The U.S. President suggested that the U.S. would take control of the Gaza Strip after Palestinians are resettled in other countries.
His plan includes developing Gaza economically, dismantling dangerous weapons, and creating jobs.
Trump said Gaza could be a “home to the world’s people.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supported Trump’s unconventional approach, calling it "outside the box" and fresh thinking.
Trump reiterated his desire for neighboring Arab countries (Jordan, Egypt) to resettle Palestinians from Gaza.
International Reactions
Many countries, including Saudi Arabia, Australia, Ireland, China, and others, rejected Trump's idea
They emphasized support for a two-state solution, and some, like Turkey, opposed resettlement proposals.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the plan, calling it a violation of international law.
