The number of districts "most-affected" by left-wing extremism (Naxalism) has reduced from 12 to 6.
Overall, districts affected by Naxalism have decreased from 38 to 18.
The six most-affected districts are:
Bijapur, Kanker, Narayanpur, and Sukma (Chhattisgarh)
West Singhbhum (Jharkhand)
Gadchiroli (Maharashtra)
Districts of concern (need extra resources):
Alluri Sitarama Raju (Andhra Pradesh)
Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh)
Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Malkangiri (Odisha)
Bhadradri Kothagudem (Telangana)
Other affected districts include areas in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Telangana.
Financial support:
₹30 crore for most-affected districts
₹10 crore for districts of concern
Progress attributed to new security camps, road expansion, improved transport, water, electricity, and welfare schemes.
Government aims to completely eliminate Naxalism by March 31, 2026.
