ISRO is preparing for its 101st launch, PSLV-C61 / EOS-09 mission from Sriharikota.
EOS-09 is an Earth observation satellite with a C-band synthetic aperture radar to capture high-resolution images of Earth's surface in all-weather conditions, enhancing India's surveillance capabilities.
ISRO and Japan's JAXA held their third technical meeting for the Chandrayaan-5/Lunar Polar Exploration (LUPEX) mission in Bengaluru.
Chandrayaan-5, in collaboration with JAXA, will study lunar volatile materials, including water, near the lunar south pole.
JAXA will launch the mission with an H3-24L vehicle, carrying an ISRO-made lunar lander and a Japanese-made rover, with scientific instruments contributed by ISRO, JAXA, ESA, and NASA.
