GST collection in April hit a record high of ₹2.37 lakh crore, up 12.6% from last year.
April 2024 collection was ₹2.10 lakh crore; March 2025 was ₹1.96 lakh crore.
Domestic GST revenue rose 10.7% to ₹1.9 lakh crore.
GST from imported goods increased 20.8% to ₹46,913 crore.
Refunds issued jumped 48.3% to ₹27,341 crore.
Net GST collection after refunds stood at over ₹2.09 lakh crore, up 9.1%.
Collections were strong across all major States, growing 11%–16%.
Central GST was ₹48,634 crore, State GST ₹59,372 crore.
IGST and cess collections from domestic trade were ₹69,504 crore and ₹12,293 crore.
Experts say the high GST reflects strong economic performance despite global challenges.
