Key Highlights from the News
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs launched a new tribal language translation application and website named 'Adi Vaani'.
Main Objectives: Bridge communication gaps among tribal communities, digitally empower tribal youth, and promote linguistic preservation of tribal languages.
This application can translate tribal languages to Hindi and English and vice versa.
In the first phase, six major tribal languages have been included: Gondi, Bhili, Mundari, Santali, Kui, Garo.
