India is hosting a crucial meeting of United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) in New Delhi.
Army chiefs from more than 33 countries will participate in this meeting. The majority of them are from Global South countries.
Key objectives of this meeting:
To foster a collective approach in peace operations.
To share best practices.
To enhance cooperation and mutual understanding between countries.
China and Pakistan have not been invited to this meeting.
This meeting highlights India’s evolving role in UN peacekeeping and its leadership.
Currently, about 5,500 Indian soldiers are serving as part of the UN peacekeeping force in nine countries. 🇮🇳🕊️
