Southwest Monsoon has completely withdrawn from the country, as announced by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Concurrently, the Northeast Monsoon has commenced in the southern peninsula, including Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
This year's Southwest Monsoon delivered 8% surplus rainfall.
This year's arrival (May 24th in Kerala) was the earliest since 2009.
