ISRO successfully undocked its two SpaDeX satellites on its first attempt.
The undocking took place in a 460 km circular orbit.
Both satellites are now orbiting independently and are functioning normally.
ISRO has now proven its ability to perform rendezvous, docking, and undocking in space.
The operation was monitored by ground stations in in Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mauritius.
ISRO plans to conduct further experiments with the satellites.
ISRO had previously successfully docked the satellites on January 16, making India the fourth country to achieve this.
The SpaDeX mission is designed to develop and demonstrate technologies needed for future space missions, including lunar missions and space stations.
The mission also aims to test the transfer of electric power between docked spacecraft.
