Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Civil Aviation Ministry extended a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), keeping 24 airports closed for civilian flights until May 15
These airports include major ones like Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, and Rajkot.
Other affected airports include Amritsar, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Bathinda, Shimla, Bhuj, Jamnagar, and more.
Air India canceled flights to several cities and is offering free rescheduling or full refunds.
IndiGo also announced fee waivers for tickets booked before May 8 for travel until May 22.
Around 138 flights to and from Delhi airport were canceled due to the temporary closures.
