The Central Government has appointed three new judges to the Supreme Court.
With these appointments, the Supreme Court now has its full strength of 34 judges.
The appointments were approved by the President after consultation with the Chief Justice of India.
The new judges are:
N.V. Anjaria – Chief Justice of Karnataka HC.
Vijay Bishnoi – Chief Justice of Gauhati HC.
Atul S. Chandurkar – Judge of the Bombay HC.
The swearing-in ceremony will be led by Chief Justice B.R. Gavai.
The appointments were made three days after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended their names.
